L'Aquila Earthquake

On 6 April 2009, an earthquake of moment magnitude Mw = 6.3 occurred 7 km SW of the L'Aquila town of Italy. The earthquake occurred after a strong number of foreshocks. The earthquake followed by a strong number of aftershocks.
