Μοντέλο Ολίσθησης του σεισμού στις 14 Αυγούστου 2003
ΒΔ της νήσου Λευκάδας στη θάλασσα του Ιονίου
Ένας ισχυρός σεισμός μεγέθους Mw=6.3 συνέβη στις 14 Αυγούστου 2003 ΒΔ απο τη νήσο Λευκάδα
στη θάλασσα του Ιονίου. Ο μηχανισμός γένεσης του σεισμού ανέδειξε την ενεργοποίηση ενός δεξιόστροφου ρήγματος
οριζόντιας ολίσθησης το οποίο έχει ΒΑ-ΝΔ διεύθυνση.
Η αντιστροφή τηλεσεισμικών κυματομορφών ανέδειξε την κατευθυντικότητα της σεισμικής πηγή προς τα ΝΔ.
Το μοντέλο ολίσθησης που υπολογίστηκε παρουσιάζει μεγάλη πολυπλοκότητα.
