Aigion Earthquake

On Thursday 15th of June 1995, 00:15 (GMT) a large earthquake of magnitude M=6.2 occurred in the western end of the Gulf of Corinth near at the city of Aigion. The earthquake although it was moderate, caused very serious damages. More than 200 people were injured. Considerable damage occured in the cities of Aigion, Eratini and in many villages around the Gulf of Corinth on both the southern and northern sides of the Gulf.
